Call for Late Breaking Research (LBR) Publications
SPEC 2024 is excited to announce the presentation of late-breaking research at this year’s conference. These presentations are for new, scientifically significant research that warrants special consideration beyond the standard submission deadline.
Key Details
Eligibility: Research must be new and important, LBR is not intended as an extension of the general submission deadline.
Topics: Included those in the Call for Digests, however not limited to, and LBR papers can be broader in scope. LBR is also a dissemination channel for new research directions.
Content: Submissions should present innovative ideas with promising initial results. Mature, experimentally validated research is better suited for the general call. Rejected papers from the main track are not expected to be a valuable contribution as an LBR paper unless their contents are revised to address the scope of this track.
Format: Submissions should be two pages long in the LBR format, with references outside this limit.
Review Process: Each paper will be reviewed by at least three reviewers following the usual process for digests, however with a binary outcome and no detailed feedback. Review criteria differ from those for digests.
Presentation: LBR papers will be presented in a poster session to facilitate informal discussions.
Registration: Full registration is required for publication in the conference proceedings and posting on IEEE Xplore.
